A bright, bold, beautiful burst of colour greeted guests for Indigo and Chantel's stunning wedding, held at the amazing Willow & Ivie. With a gorgeous big wedding party full of fun, the day was everything they had ever dreamed of. Cocktail hour with canapés and live music led into an awesome night of love, laughter and dancing. Well done, Indigo and Chantel, you sure know how to plan a wedding - every little detail was perfection! Photos by Remi Jordan Photography.
Bram & Deb, Mountain Creek Campground, Tawonga, 25 May
Bram and Deb had the most magical ceremony at this bush campground at the base of Mt Bogong in Victoria's high country. They collected chairs from garage sales and op shops for their seating, Deb made her wedding dress from both her mother's and mother-in-law's dresses, she collected flowers from gardens for the bouquet, and they thoughtfully provided hand warmers for their guests to ward off the chilly air. Heartfelt vows written by them both, and a special introduction for their parents were just a couple of the perfect moments of this beautiful ceremony, with background sounds from the forest birds and trickling creek. Just magic!
James & Elle, Huon Hill Wodonga, 19 May, 2024
A private affair on a Sunday morning saw James and Elle tie the knot with just me and three of their nearest and dearest present. They chose the Huon Hill lookout for their ceremony, a place they can see every day from their home. It was a perfect autumn morning, clear sky, no wind and only a slight chill in the air. A beautiful little elopement ceremony.
Tye & Chloe, Table Top, 11 May 2024
An intimate gathering of family and friends at the family home was the choice for this gorgeous couple. They later partied in town, and headed off for an overseas holiday. Here's a few snaps from my phone on the day.
Louis & Samantha, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, 6 April
The rain held off and a fabulous group of family and friends gathered by The Lagoon at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort to cheer on Louis and Samantha in a fun filled wedding. Quick, chilled and fun was the brief, and that it was, with lots of love and laughter, spurred on by Samantha's three gorgeous sisters as bridesmaids. Photography by the awesome Stephen Jorgensen Photography (and some from my phone). Guests later joined the reception by the immaculate greens of the golf club - a perfect location.
Lindsay & Donna, LaMaison, 30 March 2024
Easter Saturday was a very special day with Donna and Lindsay's wedding. They had both been married before - to each other - then went their separate ways. However, they knew that they were meant to be together, so they re-married on a beautiful autumn day on the grapevine shaded verandah of LaMaison cottage, with their closest family present. It was a beautiful intimate ceremony, made all the more special as it was my 100th wedding, a very proud milestone for me.
Taylor & Jacinta, Atura Albury, 9 March, 2024
It was a hot hot autumn day when family and friends gathered in the private garden of the Atura Albury for Taylor and Jacinta's wedding. Luckily there was shade for all the guests and it was a quick and simple ceremony, with lots of love and laughter throughout. Their two beautiful children walked down the aisle before them, and Jacinta's mother Sue accompanied her down the aisle. Straight inside to the cool had all the guests refreshed and ready for the reception without having to go anywhere!
Dan & Lexie, Church Street Hotel, Wodonga, 20 January, 2024
This awesome couple wanted simplicity for their intimate family wedding, held in the indoor courtyard at Church Street Hotel. They both wore their kiks for comfort - Dan even had his embroidered with their names and the date! Later on, more guests joined them for their reception in the room next door. The wedding was beautifully styled by the Spare Pair Sisters, and photographed by LoveGem Photography.
2023 was another busy year for me, officiating at 25 weddings, 5 naming ceremonies and, sadly, the funerals of two very dear friends. Below are the beautiful weddings of this year.
Pat & Trish, Corowa Whisky & Chocolate, 9 December 2023
My last wedding of the year, and oh boy, what a tearjerker! Pat and Trish have been together for over 20 years and have both been going through treatment for cancer, with Pat still quite unwell due to his ongoing treatment. A huge group of family and friends travelled from as far as Canada to see these two finally have their dream come true. So much love, happy and sad tears, and a beautiful story of true love made it a wedding I will always remember in my heart. Sue Davis was the official photographer.
Will & Rosie, La Maison Amphitheatre, 8 December, 2023
Will and Rosie casually mingled with their intimate group of family and friends for a drink and nibbles before their simple ceremony took place. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of love and laughter, and they later held their reception in the beautiful stone cottage of La Maison.
Ashley & Ebony, The Wool Press, Granya, 25 November, 2023
My 5th wedding for November was a stunner and not even the thunderstorms could dampen the spirits of this beautiful pair. The Wool Press at Granya was the perfect location for AJ and Ebony, with the ceremony down in the "holding pen" and the reception in the rustic shed. Awesome hospitality from the staff at Wool Press topped off everything perfectly. The girls arrived in a big black limo after the crowd walked down from the shed for the ceremony and the rain stayed away. LoveGem Photography captured the professional photos, and some are from my phone.
Brodie & Maddi, Auldstone Farm, 18 November, 2023

Matt & Ness, The Albury Club, 11 November, 2023
Lucky for the shade sails in the beautiful garden of The Albury Club as it was an extremely hot November day when Matt and Ness tied the knot in front of family members. With their combined family of 7 children as their wedding party, it was a beautiful celebration and they held a sand ceremony to seal the family bond. Later in the evening their other friends joined them to celebrate at the reception. A beautiful wedding for sure.
Andrew & Belinda, The Lincoln, 5 November, 2023
Family and friends joined Andrew and Belinda at The Lincoln to celebrate their 40th and 45th birthdays. My brief was to interrupt the birthday speeches and let the guests know they were really at a wedding! With their 3 beautiful daughters by their side they were married there and then, and the celebrations continued on into the afternoon and evening.
Kade & Samara, Lake Mulwala foreshore, 4 November, 2023
Kade and Samara were joined by a close group of family members for their intimate ceremony on the deck by Lake Mulwala. A hot November day it was, but all so beautiful with the sun shining on the water. They later celebrated back in Corowa where other friends and family joined them. Two amazing hot cars were their mode of transport - the professional photos are by Chloe Jones Photography, and some are from my phone.
Nagu & Jacinta, Lancemore Milawa, 28 October, 2023
A four day "wedstival" for this awesome couple beginning with their temple ceremony Thursday, games day with colour run, tug of war, etc on Friday, wedding on Saturday, and recovery on Sunday gave their guests a wedding to remember. It was such a celebration in every area, with the crowd joining in with singing and cheering the ceremony along. With so many close friends, they found it hard to choose their wedding party, so 14 groomsmen and a bevy of beautiful bridesmaids it was - each in their own choice of grey and autumn coloured outfits - and it was perfect!
Tony & Kylie, Albury Botanical Gardens, 8 October, 2023
Sunday afternoon, beautiful gardens, perfect weather, close family and friends - a perfect recipe for Tony and Kylie's love story and wedding. Despite the aggressive magpies in the tree next to us, we got through the ceremony on this beautiful afternoon and they later celebrated at a restaurant for their reception.
Amy's family farm in Jindera was the perfect location for Trent and Amy to have their wedding. Beautiful gardens and a big marquee were ready for the reception, which followed a lovely ceremony beside the grapevines. Zweck Photography was there to capture the special moments, along with Harrison Slattery videographer. A beautiful day of family, friends, love and laughter.
A little road trip to the beautiful town of Coolamon, and the superb location at Millwood Lane, finished my September with a bang with this awesome, fun wedding. Jake and Elise were married on a perfect spring day, surrounded by lots of family and friends, and their beautiful blue-eyed boys in tow. A relaxed ceremony was followed by an awesome night of love and laughter for all involved. Professional photos by Eve Photography of Wagga.
Adam & Elley, Geelong Botanical Gardens, 28 September, 2023
A private nook in the Geelong Botanical Gardens provided the perfect spot for Adam and Elley to have their intimate ceremony on a Thursday afternoon in the school holidays. About 20 family and friends attended, and it was also so beautiful, made even more so by the sheer simplicity of it all. Family from Canada joined in via livestream, even though it was after midnight over there.
Trevor & Cathy, Lavington, 25 September, 2023
On a lovely Monday afternoon, Trevor and Cathy were married in their private garden at home. Just the two of them, and I brought along two witnesses. They were so happy, Cathy didn't take the smile off her face the whole time, and rightly so, after many years together and many hurdles to overcome, they were finally able to get married. It was a lovely celebration, with Trevor quickly popping the champagne for us all to celebrate with them.

Guests were invited to an "engagement" party and were stunned when Sam announced that it really was their wedding - enter me! A great way to have their surprise wedding, on the outdoor rooftop area of the hotel, where everyone partied on into the night.
Dante & Ebony, Balranald, 22 April, 2023
Dante and Ebony had a beautiful little ceremony on the farm that had been in Dante's family for generations. Just immediate family attended the ceremony, and they later celebrated with a gathering at their home.

In front of immediate family, Shaun and Bec tied their lifelong friendship knot high above the beautiful King Valley. Accompanied in by their two gorgeous children, they had a simple and beautiful ceremony, and then later joined lots of family and friends to celebrate at King River Cafe. Hannah Adele captured their wedding, and some photos from my phone.
Ethan & Sophie, Buller Wines, 17 March, 2023
On an absolutely beautiful autumn day, Buller Wines as at its perfect best for the wedding of Ethan and Sophie. A stunning macrame arbour and the magnificent gum tree framed their wedding on the lawn. Cocktail hour followed, and then guests celebrated in the function room, all in all a perfect day, made super special by Sophie's mum sharing the story of the wedding ring, which had been handed down through the generations to Sophie. Briony Hardinge was official photographer, and some are from my phone.
Mike & Issy, Remel 185 Whorouly, 12 March, 2023
Mike and Issy had Mike's grandparents as their official witnesses on the day and it was so very special - they felt very honoured for sure. We finished the ceremony just as the rain began to fall, but that did not dampen the spirits of this awesome pair, or their guests, who partied on in the repurposed tobacco packing shed at Remel 185. A beautiful, rustic venue for a beautiful local couple! Madalyn Anderson was their photographer.
Darren & Kiara, Whitton Malt House, 11 March 2023
Deep in the heart of wine growing region near Griffith, a beautiful mix of cultures abounded as Darren shared his Scottish heritage with Kiara's Italian background. A large gathering, including guests all the way from Scotland, celebrated in fine style by the lake at Whitton Malt House. Accompanied by bagpipes and guests in kilts, it was a perfect wedding day, although rather hot for autumn. Sarah Dissegna Photography captured the very special photos.

Rod & Elli, riverside at Balranald, 4 March, 2023
Another beautiful hometown wedding, marrying these two who I had watched grow up over the years. A huge gathering of family and friends rejoiced in a fun ceremony, full of love and laughter, and then we all later partied on at the beautiful Royal Hall. It was a special day with their daughter Milla celebrating her birthday on the same day - she also read a poem for mum and dad during the ceremony. It was made even more special by Elli's mum, Bronwyn, doing the flowers and local photographer, Remi Jordan, capturing the day - some photos from Remi, and some from my phone.

A beautiful union of love, Clint and Ernest tied the knot with a large crowd of family and friends on the lawns at Lake Paika Station. The reception followed immediately, with dancing well into the night on a beautiful summer's evening. With sisters as grooms maids, best mates as groomsmen, and nieces and nephews as the juniors, every single detail was perfect and full of fun.

Kergunyah is Damon's home area, even though they now live on the South Coast, they chose to come home for their intimate little ceremony with just immediate family present. The last ever wedding at Waddingtons, it was a perfect Saturday morning with a simple wedding ceremony then lunch inside with their family.

A perfect sunny day by the lake with lots of laughter throughout the ceremony made it a day to remember for sure!

The stunning Waratah Weddings was the perfect venue, with chapel, gardens and reception hall all in the one location. It was a wonderful reunion for me to see their parents again, who I worked with years ago, and lots of their family members who I have known for years. Sophie O'Keefe was their photographer and she was a delight to work with.

Steven & Katie, Redbank Events Barnawartha, 29 October 2022
A perfect day, despite the wind (bride had to ditch her veil part way through the ceremony) at the rustic Redbank Events function centre. Steven and Katie had such a fun wedding, surrounded by family and friends and it was an honour to be a part of it. Sloan Hanna was their amazing photographer, such a pleasure to work with.
Jack & Andrea, Table Top, 22 October, 2022
Another wet Saturday, we held off the ceremony for nearly an hour to wait for the storm to pass (the guests were happily undercover in the beautiful reception marquee). Then down to the pond for a beautiful ceremony, complete with signage and table all created by Jack the groom, along with many other very special items for their wedding.
Simon & Mel, Sumsion Gardens, 19 October, 2022
On a Wednesday afternoon at 5pm, Simon and Mel finally tied the knot after many long years together travelling this great country of ours. They invited a few people, weren't worried if they didn't show due to work etc, (but they all did), and then headed off to the pub for dinner. It was just beautiful, and luckily we got it in before the spot flooded just a week or so later.
Greg & Maria, Kiewa Valley, 15 October, 2022
A very special wedding of a work colleague, who married at their family farm in the beautiful Kiewa Valley. A midday ceremony and an afternoon of family and friends, love and laughter followed, all captured on film by the amazing Peter Charlesworth photographer.

Adrian & Terrie-Lee, Corowa Whisky & Chocolate, 16 Sept, 2022
Originally set for the riverbank, the flooded Murray River put an end to that! Then a move up the hill to the garden was also ended with threats of torrential rain, so we ended up doing the ceremony in the reception location of the stunning, rustic Corowa Whisky and Chocolate, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Here's some beautiful photos from Marcella of Sunday Muse Photography.
Edward & Hope, Junee, 10 September, 2022
After days of rain, the sun shone for the ceremony of this gorgeous couple. On the family farm in the middle of golden canola country, the guests arrived all prepared (as country folk do) with umbrellas and gum boots. It was so much fun. A quick shower just before the bride arrived had us all huddled together under the umbrellas and they partied on into the night in the beautifully transformed woodshed. #countryweddingsarethebest
Adam & Ashleigh, Mt Pilot Summit, 15 July 2022

Jack & Brianna, Rutherglen, 7 May, 2022
A couple of date changes, Covid, and building a brand new house saw Jack and Brianna go through lots of planning changes just to finally be able to get married. It doesn't matter where or when, it just matters that you can fulfil your dream to be married - and I was honoured to be a part of this special day.
Adam & Erica, Bald Hills House, 12 April, 2022
Twice in a few days I was lucky to be at BHH for a wedding - this time for the awesome, funnest wedding ever of Adam and Erica, aka Schmidtie and Birdy! The sun shone beautifully on the hillside arbour as their family and friends cheered and laughed all through the awesome ceremony. It truly was a match made in heaven when these two met, and their "wedstival" (wedding festival) over a few days leading into Easter was the ultimate celebration of their love. Darcy Bly Photography captured some great photos for them, and I sneaked in a few on my phone as well.
Karl & Casey, Bald Hills House, 9 April, 2022
The amazing Bald Hills House at Stanley in Victoria's high country was the venue for Karl and Casey's autumn wedding, and it did not disappoint. The beautiful house and cabin accommodated family and friends, while others set up camp in the area surrounding the house, set amongst the tall timbers of Stanley Forest. Inclement weather brought the ceremony down onto the deck area, but that didn't take away from the day at all. Surrounded by family and friends, and their 2 dogs, these two married in a beautiful ceremony, then headed up to Mt Stanley lookout for some sunset photos with their awesome photographer Ash Henderson. Also some snaps from my phone.

Lake Paika Station was a beautiful setting for both the ceremony and reception, with many of the family staying in the onsite accommodation to make the most of their weekend together. They had local suppliers all round - celebrant (me), musician Daniel Barrett, photographer Remi Campbell, florist Bronwyn Brougham, makeup artist Mikkaela Bax etc. On a perfect summer day, their dream finally came true and it was just perfect.
Beau & Kaitley, Balranald, 22 January 2022

A surprise sneak peak for Beau was not what he expected; the local Fire Brigade attended in support of the couple's volunteer work; and a fun wedding party made their day one they will remember forever! Photos by the awesome Remi Jordan Photography.

A love of nature, redgums and wetlands, plus many childhood memories on the lake, saw a casual relaxed wedding for Tom and Ali, with their close family present. In a beautiful grove of trees, the eerie sound of Xavier Rudd for the entrance song, and a didgeridoo solo by her cousin during the signing, it was one of the most beautifully emotional services I have been involved in. The bridal party headed off for photos in golf buggies, and guests enjoyed the reception in a giant marquee on the first green of the course. Well done to all involved!

Another change of date and change of location from the original winery location, again due to Covid, but it worked out perfectly. They had a large gathering of family and friends under a very beautiful tree for the ceremony, then headed off into Albury CBD for reception and to see the new year in!
David & Sarah, Wagga RSL Club, Wagga, 31 October, 2020
A quick trip to Wagga in the evening, I rocked up at David's Halloween themed 50th birthday party in full Halloween disguise. No-one knew there was a stranger in their midst, and they all got a shock when we proceeded to perform a surprise wedding for David and Sarah - with only their two best friends and their kids knowing what was to happen. It was a fun night all round and these crazy two ended up like my best friends after months of date and location changes, again due to Covid.
Simon & Kelly, City Central Church, Albury, 31 October, 2020
Changing from Beechworth, Vic, into Albury due to the ongoing Covid rules saw Simon and Kelly hold their ceremony at the amazing City Central Church Hall in Albury and it was perfect. They headed off to the Botanical Gardens for photos between thunderstorms, and then a dinner at the Atura, so all ended up with a great day for their guests.
Jack & Freya, "Rosewhite House", Rosewhite, 24 October, 2020
Jack and Freya also had to change their wedding plans due to Covid, but they ended up with the ultimate "bestie weekend" ever. They were limited to ten people at their wedding, so booked out the gorgeous Rosewhite House BnB and had the weekend with their eight best friends, who were all in the wedding party! I rocked up and officiated the service and left them to a weekend of fun with games, food and drinks! Way to go Jack and Freya!
Andrew & Rochelle, Noreuil Park, Albury, 22 October, 2020
With change of date and location, Andrew and Rochelle finally got to marry on a beautiful Thursday afternoon by the mighty Murray River at Albury's Noreuil Park. The sun was shining brilliantly, and it was a happy celebration of their love amongst lots of family, friends and bubbles. Here's some pics from the awesome @Peter Charlesworth Photographer
Ryan & Ella, "Queen's Park", Hillston, 10 October, 2020
A roadtrip to the beautiful little town of Hillston on a perfect spring day to officiate at the intimate wedding of Ryan and Ella was right up my ally! Held on Ella's family farm, "Queen's Park", with abundant wheat crop and rolling hills in the background and a catered marquee for their reception, it was just perfect. Ella had her 3 sisters as her bride tribe, and Jorja sang for both the ceremony and reception. Beautiful photos by @Mikkali Rowe Photography
I was very excited to travel to my home town and officiate for this gorgeous couple out at the farm. The weather was perfect, close friends and family gathered, and the wedding cars were awesome big rigs (as Beau is a truck driver). Awesome photos taken by @Libby Kelly Photography perfectly captured the love of these two and their combined family of children.
David & Trish, private home Albury, 29 August, 2020
Originally planned for a ceremony and reception at The Albury Club, restrictions made the date and place impossible, so David and Trish opted for an intimate ceremony in their home with just their immediate family present - and it was perfect! They invited me for bubbles and nibbles after the ceremony, and then they all went out to a fine restaurant to celebrate! Sometimes changing your original plan works out just beautifully!
After changing dates and location due to Covid, Jarrod and Caitlin finally got to marry in a beautiful setting at the Albury Botanical Gardens - just before a big thunderstorm pelted down! With their little boy at their side, and close family and friends gathered, it was a perfect celebration of their love and family. Accompanied by her brother (as dad was in lockdown) Caitlin didn't stop her beautiful smile all day!
Ryan & Teigan, private garden, Hay, 30 May, 2020
Brought forward from their planned date of Easter 2021 due to family illness, Ryan and Teigan had an intimate Covid imposed guest list of just ten of their immediate family, with social distancing in place (and some family and friends watching over the fence from the neighbour's garden and street). No-one wanted to miss this hitching, and they didn't as a live stream Facebook link was in place. These two lovebirds then had a reaffirmation ceremony in Easter 2021, and a big party with all their family and friends.
Austin & Olivia, "Orange Grove Gardens", 21 March, 2020
Lucky for Austin and Olivia, they held their wedding just before the hard Covid lockdown - but rules were in place and we had to warn guests re social distancing, hugs and hand-sanitising! Country people do it best, and their day and night at the beautiful Orange Grove function centre went off without a hitch!
Bobby & Laura, At The Heads, Barwon Heads, 6 March 2020
It might sound biased, but my favourite wedding and proudest Celebrant moment, was when I got to officiate at the wedding of my youngest son, Bobby, as he wed the love of his life, Laura. By the beach at the stunning "At The Heads" function centre, a large gathering of family and friends enjoyed this beautiful ceremony, complete with Kombi Keg and acoustic muso - it was absolutely perfect. Noel & Louii, private garden at Lavington, 29 February, 2020
This crazy pair took a "leap of love" and married on Leap Year 29 February! They transformed their Lavington garden into a perfect place for their relaxed and super fun wedding - it doesn't matter how old you are, love wins! I had the best afternoon with these two and their family, moving from the front garden to the back yard for their party.
Sam & Samantha, ShadowFax Wines, Werribee, 11 January 2020
2020 kicked off beautifully with a gorgeous ceremony full of fun, laughter, family and friends as the two Sams got hitched. The stunning ShadowFax Wines at Werribee, Victoria, was a picture perfect location and a great way to start my Celebrant year. @Journey By Light Photography captured some great images.

Conan & Abbey, The Albury Club, 16 November, 2019
My last wedding for the 2019 season was an exquisite wedding inside The Albury Club, where an entire room was transformed overnight into a beautiful setting for Co and Abbey to be wed. With their siblings as witnesses, it was a very heartfelt and beautiful ceremony, later celebrated in the rose garden outside. Stunning! Pics by @Peter Charlesworth Photography.
Anthony & Kate Rollings, "Orange Grove", 9 November 2019
The beautiful "Orange Grove Gardens" at Culcairn was the venue for Anthony and Kate to tie the knot. Walked down the homestead stairs by her two brothers, and accompanied down the aisle by her gorgeous son, Lenny, in a refurbished antique pram, the scene was set for a perfect wedding day!
Kade & Meg Passlow, Maxwell, 2 November 2019
Wild, wet, windy - the weather on the hill at Kade and Meg's farm proved difficult, but the love, laughter and close family present definitely conquered any bad weather. It was a beautiful ceremony with only their kids and closest family at the ceremony, later joined by all their friends and family at the Maxwell Hall for the reception.
Brenton & Karlie Rowe, Pental Island, Swan Hill, 26 October 19
It was an honour to officiate for these two whom I had watched grow up from teenagers into fine young adults. An amazing private home in Swan Hill offered the perfect "Bali style" wedding ceremony location right there in the country, before they headed to Pental Island Caravan Park for their reception.
